| | Unipet Auto Food and Water Font I bought the cat "self" feeder, but "self-feeding" it most certainly is not. The food canot roll out of the container by itself, you need to poke your finger in and hook the pellets out. We feed our cats Hills cat food, and I am not to be convinced that the size of the pellets are too big. Bigger foods, like Whiskas, will clog up the hole entirely. If I don't insert the container all the way, but just let it barely stand on top of the bowl, the pellets rolls out a bit easier, but it still needs to be prompted with a poking finger.
I suggest that the feeder is redesigned so that it can be indeed called a self-feeder. Maybe the hole could be bigger (I am strongly considering cutting it bigger with a Stanley knife), and the part of the bowl which is directly underneath the container should be sloped so that the food can roll out as soon as the food outside the container are eaten.
This certainly was a waste of money. Luckily I tested the feeder BEFORE going away for holiday, otherwise our cats would have starved!
